Argosy Transportation Group, Inc., has an immediate opening for a full time Full Charge Bookkeeper.

The candidate must possess the following qualifications:  

Minimum of 7 years as a full charge bookkeeper

·        Must have strong communication, organizational and customer service skills 

·        Attention to detail a must

·        Hands on experience putting detailed budgets together (may be required to implement a completely new one)

·        Hands on experience preparing any and all month end reports, including explanation of negative variances

·        Takes initiative to look at books to ensure all accounting is in compliance with GAAP and correct before submitting to the President for review

·        Must be able to answer questions as to variances at month end based on P&L

·        Preparing bank and general ledger reconciliations

·        Preparing the trial balance

·        Maintain General Ledger

·        Ensure all companies comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.

·        Tax filings

·        AR / AP

·        Ageing / Collections

·        Fixed Asset management / tracking

·        Must have experience in keeping books for multiple companies to include consolidation of monthly / yearly reports

·        Good tenure a must

·         This position reports to the Executive Assistant to the President.
