August  2008 -Welcome to the President's Corner.

Dear Logistics Professional,

Thank  you for checking in to see what is new at ITMA.!

If you've been here before... then you'll see that our website has been updated with a new look!  It was quite a task and was done using our basic old template and given a makeover!  You should be able to find all of the same features PLUS a NEW interactive message board where you can post your questions, comments, answers, guidance and suggestions.  I truly encourage all of you to chat amongst yourselves!  Use those ITMA contacts! 

If you haven't heard... we have good news to report!  Our call for volunteers to help us with our efforts was answered and our immediate openings have been filled.  We welcome our new Program Director, Brooks Elliott with Forward Air, our new Scholarship Director, Peter Wurshy with Port Freeport, our new Treasurer Marty Spears with Triton and we also created a new position.. 'Training Director' and welcome Madeline Sprague of JP MorganChase to our Board!

Madeline will be working on setting up our Seminars/Workshops and will have the schedule posted soon on  this year's ITMA Calendar.  Please let us know if your company is looking for  specific training and we can be a resource for you. 

We will have elections in November for the positions to be opening up this year. 

Voting will be done online at our website and these links will be up soon along with Ballot nomination forms!

We have lots to look forward to and are counting on your support once again.
